An endocannabinoid found within the human body, produced by the brain. Anandamide regulates appetite, as well as pleasure and reward. It simultaneously plays a partial role in regulating sleep patterns, hormonal regulation, and fertility. THC mimics the effects of anandamides (considered an endogenous analog) and binds to the same receptors, C1 and C2.
